LET’S JUST PRAISE THE LORD
Ps 67
67:1 For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm. A
song.
May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us,
Selah
2 that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all
nations.
3 May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you.
4 May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples
justly and guide the nations of the earth.
Selah
5 May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you.
6 Then the land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will bless
us.
7 God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him.
NIV
Let’s just praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, let’s just lift our hearts
to heaven and praise the Lord! God has blessed us beyond measure. He has lifted
us from the pits of darkness and brought us up and into his wonderful light.
Where would we be if God had not intervened in our life? What would our life
been like if he had not made his face to shine upon us. God has been so
gracious to us, he has made his way known to us, revealing his truth to us,
showing us his salvation. Without God how would we have lived? Would we even
still be alive? Let’s just praise the Lord! He has healed us and guided us
through life. He picked up the fractured pieces of our life and made us whole. He
has forgiven all our sin. He has cleanse us from all unrighteousness. He has
declared us holy and blameless in his sight. Let’s just praise the Lord! Although
we are not a land to yield a harvest, our life will yield a harvest because he
has planted us in his vineyard. He is the vine and we are his branches, and as
long as we remain in him we will yield much fruit, a harvest of fruit for
others to enjoy. Let’s just praise the Lord! God has blessed us with life in
him. We have both a great life in this world because we know him, and he knows
us, and an even greater eternal life which began the day we were born again.
How wonderful is the love of God, let’s just praise the Lord! We are blessed
and someday the ends of the earth will fear him. Someday all the earth, all the
peoples of the earth will stand before God, but only we will be the ones
praising the Lord. They will be trembling in fear, we will be glad and
rejoicing, so let’s just praise the Lord!
